St. Joseph-Ogden High School will honor and induct the following five wonderful people into the 2023 SJO Hall of Fame class on Fri, September 15th:
- Randy Wolken
- Gerald Hewerdine
- Susan Pensinger
- Brian Allen
- Marvin Lee Flessner
The induction ceremony will happen at halftime of the varsity football game vs. IVC on September 15 (also our HOMECOMING GAME). The game starts at 7:00 PM, so halftime will likely happen at around 7:45 PM. We will have a meet and greet with refreshments under a tent during the first half of the football game so people can chat with the Hall of Fame inductees. All five inductees will walk with their families up the track to the 50-yard line during the halftime induction ceremony. At that time, we will give each inductee their Hall of Fame plaque and will take pictures of everyone as well.
We are extremely honored to induct these 5 fantastic people into our St. Joseph-Ogden High School Hall of Fame. Congrats again to all of the inductees!
Congratulations to the following SJO Girls Track State Qualifiers. The Spartans will compete in the IHSA State Track Meet at Eastern Illinois University on Thursday, May 18th. Good luck Spartans!

St. Joseph-Ogden will host the 2A IHSA baseball regional on the following dates:
- Wednesday, May 17th: SJO vs. winner of Hoopeston/BHRA at 4:30 PM
- Thursday, May 18th: Oakwood vs. Westville at 4:30 PM
- Saturday, May 20th: Winner of Wed, May 17th game vs. winner of May 18th game at 11:00 AM
- All games will be played at MEIER FIELD. The address is 2150 Old Police Park Road, St. Joseph, IL, 61873.
- Admissions is $5.00 for everyone (per IHSA guidelines)
Inter-State Studios will take graduation pictures during graduation practice on Friday, May 19. Pictures can be ordered online at www.inter-state.com/Order using code: 76978N. There are some paper order forms available in the office.
The SJO Varsity softball team will play at South Vermillion High School on Tuesday, 4/25/23. The varsity game starts at 5:00 PM CENTRAL TIME (6 PM EASTERN TIME). The JV game will start right after the varsity game is over at around 6:30 PM CENTRAL TIME (7:30 PM EASTERN TIME). Good luck Spartans!
Attention juniors and seniors: Prom will be held at The Refinery on April 29 from 7-10 pm. Prom tickets will be sold during lunch next week, March 27-31. The cost is $40 per person and tickets can be purchased with cash or check. Please make checks payable to SJO.

The SJO wrestling tri-meet (SJO, South Vermillion, and Hoopeston) at South Vermillion High School, IN on Tues, 1/10 will now start at 5:30 PM EASTERN TIME instead of 6:00 PM EASTERN TIME. The bus will now leave at 2:10 PM instead of 2:45 PM. Good luck Spartans!
